Tommy Wills, "Man With A Horn" the most
versatile saxman in the business.
Playing Big Band, Jazz, Blues, 70's Top 40, plus Country Western
Swing. Still actively playing gigs 3 or
4 times per week and recording his music.
To date, five CDs, over fifty 45s, and seven vinyl albums have been
release in his career. Releasing his
latest CD "Have Horn Will Travel" on CD Baby and other online distributors,
eight other independent music distributors around the U.S. and Bear Family
Distributors in Germany and around Europe.
Tommy's nightclub dates have been cutback in recent
years mainly due to the popularity of karaoke and D.J.'s. Not one to rest on his laurels, he is busy
making music in places like the Artsgarden, American Legion ballrooms, special
dances and shows, including the Gas City Big Band Festival, and dozens of other
local venues.
Recently Tommy put a duo together called "The
Twosome" with Warren Grimwood. They have
been busy working House Parties, 50 plus venues, Health Care Centers and Assisted
Living Centers. Sometimes playing as
many as 3 one-hour shows per day, playing Big Band music and oldies. Tommy says it's the most appreciative
audience ever!
Since childhood, Tommy has always liked different
kinds of music and has performed it all.
He has been able to adapt, a key to his success through the years, and
he loves it. Versatility is the
answer. Jazz, Blues, Big Band, Classic
Rock oldies music, and Country Western Swing, Tommy Wills can do them all! He is probably the oldest steady working
musician in the Midwest today!
